PeoplesBank Introduces VideoBankerITM Technology at New West Hartford Banking Center
HOLYOKE, MA (August 30, 2021) – PeoplesBank has introduced VideoBankerITM, a contactless banking system that allows customers to bank seven days a week, at its new West Hartford Banking Center at 102 LaSalle Road. PeoplesBank has no affiliation or relationship with People’s United Bank, which was just bought by M&T of Buffalo, New York.
“It’s about as close to curbside banking as you can get, except with better hours,” stated Aleda De Maria, Executive Vice President, Consumer Banking and Operations at PeoplesBank, in describing the drive-thru VideoBankerITM. “Customers can do pretty much anything they can with a teller – except they do not have to enter the banking center. This new technology also allows us to extend our service to seven days a week and after hours on weeknights, so customers are finding a whole new level of convenience by banking when they need to as opposed to when they have to.”
Currently, the PeoplesBank VideoBankerITM is the only such service in West Hartford.
“When we were designing the West Hartford Banking Center, we very much wanted it to be something different,” states Ms. De Maria. “So we went with a more relaxed gathering environment, a more industrial feel with wood posts and beams, and a state-of-the art coffee machine. It’s a place that you can gather with your friends or colleagues, even if you’re not a customer, and just relax and feel how it is to be part of the PeoplesBank family.”
PeoplesBank has appointed Romika Odedra as Vice President, Regional Manager, and Manager of the new banking center. She has more than 15 years of financial services and banking experience in the West Hartford market. Ms. Odedra will be supported by her team, which includes Kris Lucke, Banking Center Assistant Manager; Karmeliz Camacho, Banking Center Senior Operations Specialist; and Kevin Hernandez, Banking Center Operations Specialist.
